About 2 months ago, we got a brilliant idea to drop a TV off of Will Roegge’s second story balcony onto the ground below. The idea was created when his TV (which also happens to weigh as much as a baby elephant) broke after years of use. We thought the best way to end it’s life would be to drop it straight onto the ground from the highest point we had access to….and to film it. After some thought we realized the potential of the TV actually breaking the concrete driveway, which wouldn’t have sat well with a few people. So we held off on the idea.
Fast forward to this past weekend, and the idea of using a car as a “buffer” was brought into play. Will’s roommate had a Toyota Camry that had recently ended it’s own life and would barely drive. She (Aya, the roommate) decided she thought it would be awesome if we dropped the TV on her car instead…and so we did it. With Will and myself on the ground filming, and Will’s other roommate Peter Tarach up on the balcony handling the destruction along with the help of their downstairs neighbors, this is what we got.
Enjoy
I got the chance to jump back behind the wheel for some much needed driving at the last Vegas Drift event that was held at Nellis AFB. The course was a replica of the Formula D - Las Vegas track from this year as well. I know it may not look like it, due to my car making almost no noise (stock motor/exhaust), but I managed to enter at 80-85 in fourth gear on each of the runs in the video.

It was nice to finally drive again for once rather than being stuck on the track filming all day!
This is a bit late…I know, but I slacked on getting things back up to speed here on my blog. So now I’m playing catch-up.
Dax Rodgriguez was in town with his dad for a convention…or something of the like so I scooped him up to come hang out and show him what we do around Vegas on a daily basis. I needed gas, so once we stopped for refueling, Dax decided to shoot my daily driver for a short feature on Motormavens.com
Here is the entire post quoted from Dax’s feature.
I can’t remember the last time I was in Las Vegas when I wasn’t covering an event or taking photos for work. It seems like an reoccurring thing when it comes to traveling for me, I never have time to hang with friends or just kick back. However my recent trip to Vegas was non-work related and I basically had the whole weekend to do whatever and go wherever my heart desired! After receiving a phone call from my dad asking if I would like to accompany him on his business trip to Vegas for the weekend, it didn’t take me long to respond with an enthusiastic “Yes!”. Once I arrived in Vegas I wasted no time getting in touch with people, while making sure I contacted a certain Internet celebrity!
Enter Josh Herron. This young and talented videographer has made some of the most creative drift videos I’ve ever seen, while also averaging 200,000 views on each video, and reaching the acclaimed Internet celebrity status all before the age of 21. And I thought I was a media prodigy.
Although the exterior of Josh’s S14 is very subtle, when we move into the cockpit nothing brings attention like a white steering wheel and bubble shift knob!
One of Josh’s first runs, and me desperately trying to get my settings down. Who would of thought night drifting would be so hard to shoot?
There’s nothing better then some night drifting…on a closed course obviously. Of course all driving was done by trained professionals, don’t try this at home!
I know this isn’t the sharpest shot, but it looked so cool I had to use it. Plus Josh had monster angle!
After a good session of drifting, we headed back to the local Chevron to fill up the tank and snap a few photos before calling it a night, or should I say morning? Rumor has it that Ray from Royal Flush (pictured far left) captured the nights session with Josh’s camera. Perhaps now like every true celebrity, Josh will have a very incriminating video that he doesn’t want ending up on the internet!

Thanks again Dax! Maybe next time my car won’t look so terrible!
Sorry everyone for not updating this thing. I’m terrible at keeping up with blogs. New posts will be up soon!
I am selling my DVX100b. I recently upgraded to the new Panasonic HMC150 and would like to have someone enjoy my DVX rather than it collecting dust in my room.
There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with the camera, and it performs flawlessly.
some more info:
249 hours on the heads from a complete year of filming (recently cleaned by Panasonic USA. Heads on this model are also good up to 2000+ hours.)
Recently serviced by Panasonic USA
Small scuff on the lens hood (Brushed against a brick wall while at a shoot. Very minimal and hardly noticeable. Lens hood is also easily replaced.)
It is the DVX100bp-s model, which I have been told is the much desired version (Made in USA instead of the Mexico factory)
Includes everything from the original packaging but the user manual (lost when I was on a shoot in Japan)
Also included is the bigger battery which can hold a charge up to 6 hours. (I’ve gone through an entire shooting day without having to worry about charging the battery)
Also comes with 2 extra DV tapes that are brand new.
I used this camera for exactly 1 year before switching to my new camera, and absolutely LOVED it. The only reason for me switching was the need for a quicker work-flow since I need to edit on the road.
Asking $1700 OBO (please no low-balling) or I will trade for a 35mm adapter with lenses (No other trades will be accepted)
I currently don’t have any pictures handy as I’m in Colorado Springs for the annual Pikes Peak hill climb event, and my DVX is at home. I can provide pictures once I arrive home (monday the 20th)
Thank you for your time,
-Joshua Herron

FD New Jersey has been one of the coolest places to film so far in my opinion, and so far every video released has been amazing!
Two of my favorites happen to come from two guys who a lot of my creativity feeds from, and I consider them good friends of mine as well. The three of us started producing drift videos heavily within the last year, and all of us seem to have a similar “style” but each of us has our own twist to it.
Enough with the talking, here’s the videos from Will Roegge and Skylar Smith
Will’s new video

Skylar’s new video for Falken Tires

Can’t wait to see what everyone pumps out for round 4! Also, I can’t wait to film on home turf again.
*random fun fact*
FD Vegas 2008 was the first professional drift event I ever filmed. It was also the first event I ever filmed with my DVX100b. It’s almost been a full year since I first got in the game.
Updating the site, please bear with the chaos. Should be back to normal soon!
…in T-Minus 10 days.
Just booked my tickets less than an hour ago.
Can’t wait! This is going to be dope!

So D1 Miami is just around the corner, as well as East Coast Bash. Ideally I would like to go to both, but they are both on the same day, so that’s not happening.
To be honest I’d much rather cover ECB, nothing beats grassroots, but here’s my dilemma. First, I’m a few months shy of 21, which means I can’t rent a car virtually anywhere…and where I can rent a car, they would charge me grips of $$$ so this is where I would ask of a favor. If I fly into NJ (probably Newark) I would need to find some sort of ride to the track. I would also throw gas in also, no questions asked.
Now here comes the other (possible) favor. FD NJ is the following weekend, which I will be at also. However, a flight to and from NJ a week before and then the next weekend would be a killer on the wallet, so if I can get something worked out, I would try and stay out there for the entire week before. I sleep well on floors, and I clean up after myself. I know this is a lot to ask, especially for someone to open their home to someone that they’ve never met.
OR if someone knows of a weekly stay type hotel, let me know!
Lets do this! I’ve never been to NJ before, and filming one of the best grassroots events would make my trip that much better!
Email me at Josh@Joshuaherron.com if you’ve got any tips/info/etc.. that could help get me out there!
Thanks in advance to anyone willing to lend a hand.
-Josh
